SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO (CNS) – Orange County sheriff’s homicide investigators today probed the deaths of a man and a woman whose bodies were found at their home in San Juan Capistrano.

Authorities were called to the 32000 block of Peppertree Bend shortly before 2 a.m. Sunday, said Capt. Steve Concialdi of the Orange County Fire Authority. Someone had placed a “911 unknown trouble” call, according to Orange County Sheriff’s Lt. Jeff Hallock.

Hallock said an 8-year-old boy taken from the home to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries was expected to survive.

Authorities secured a search warrant for the premises, and crime scene investigators finished their work around 3 a.m. today, said Orange County Sheriff’s Lt. Steve Gil, a watch commander.

According to the Orange County coroner’s office, the bodies were found at 32271 Peppertree Bend — the man at 1:46 a.m. Sunday and the woman at 2:10 a.m. The names have not been released.

A Google check of real estate records indicated the home at 32271 Peppertree Bend is 9,600 square feet on one acre.

The cause of death was not immediately revealed.
