Here’s something to ring in the first weekend of Spring!

In an effort to give back, the Santa Monica Airport will host two nights of free family movies with several local businesses and private aviation enthusiasts, featuring the Disney movie “Planes.” The movies will be shown on Saturday, March 22 from 6-9 p.m. and Sunday, March 23 from 3-6 p.m. (Come 1 hour early for photo op in an airplane.) Attendees can interact with professional pilots and touch and feel a real airplane, which makes for great family film and photo opportunities! Each ticket grants one parent + a child to a free entry. Limited to 50 people each night, so RSVP in advance at http://santamonicaairport.com/family-movie-night/#rsvp

Address: 3165 Donald Douglas Loop S, Santa Monica, CA 90405
Cost: Free

Spring has sprung in Los Feliz and Silverlake with the Spring Equinox Ceremony and Meditation

The Spring or Vernal Equinox marks the turning point into our new cycle. Participants will invoke the 5 elements of Fire, Water, Air, Earth, and Spirit, using each to promote energetic clearing, release, and self healing. You will then engage in a guided meditation which focuses light on energy centers in the body, creating harmony and equilibrium in the physical as well as energetic bodies. The body is aligned with the Middle Pillar on the Tree of Life – a magical glyph used to represent how the universe came into being, and the connection between the macrocosmic and the microcosmic worlds. In the Tarot, the High Priestess card shows an alignment with the Middle Pillar or Pillar of Balance.
