Bethany, Okla., based photographer Lora Scantling worked with a studio and some local children’s boutiques to create a powerful photo of three young girls who are fighting cancer. Scantling hopes her photos will bring awareness to childhood cancer. Already, the image has gone viral, with thousands of shares on Facebook alone.

The girls in the photo are all cancer patients, aged 3, 6 and 4. The image comes with an inspiring message written below the photo: “Sometimes, strength comes in knowing that you are not alone.” The girls had not met before the photo shoot, but have quickly formed a friendship. One of the girls mothers says, “It was very moving watching their bond form.”
