The NBA playoffs are in full swing and a most unlikely thing happened during yesterday’s game between the Dallas Mavericks and San Antonio Spurs — Spurs’ coach Gregg Popovich did something nice!

Following an in-game interview with TNT’s Craig Sager Jr., the son of TNT’s regular sideline reporter, Popovich congratulated the kid on his interview skills, then gave a shout-out to his dad, Craig Sr., who is taking time off to battle leukemia.

This was a shocking moment for followers of NBA basketball. Popovich is not known for being talkative during any interviews and is especially gruff with Sager.
