PASADENA (CNS) – The Pasadena City Council today gave its blessing to a proposed concert featuring Jay-Z and Beyonce at the Rose Bowl.
The city has a limit on the number of large events that can be held at the stadium each year, and the city is already over the 12-event cap. Additional events can be scheduled, but only with the council’s approval.
The proposed Jay-Z and Beyonce concert would be held Aug. 2, although officials said the event plans have not been finalized.
According to the Pasadena Star-News, 17 large events were already scheduled at the Rose Bowl this year, with the Aug. 2 concert being number 18.
Among the events already planned are three One Direction concerts in September and two nights with Eminem and Rihanna in August.
