Avoid these areas due to Obama visit!

Authorities are advising the public to avoid the following areas today because of the visit by President Barack Obama:

– The area around Motor Avenue and Pico Boulevard between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.;

– The area around Pico Boulevard and Beverly Glen Boulevard between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.

– The area around Santa Monica Boulevard and Beverly Glen Boulevard from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.;

– The area around Sunset Boulevard and Beverly Glen Boulevard from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.; and

– The area around Santa Monica Boulevard and Avenue of the Stars from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Authorities are advising the public to avoid the following areas Thursday:

– The area around Santa Monica Boulevard and Avenue of the Stars between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.; and

– The area around Pico Boulevard and Motor Avenue between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.

All trucks will be prohibited from traveling along Wilshire Boulevard between Santa Monica and Avenue of the Stars between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Thursday, says Lt. Lincoln Hoshino of the Beverly Hills Police Department,

Metro bus lines 4, 16, 316 and 704 will be affected by the closures, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
