Kings v. Blackhawks in game 3 at Staples on Saturday
The Los Angeles Kings will host Game 3 of the Western Conference Final against the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday at STAPLES Center. The series is currently tied, 1-1.
The Kings organization is encouraging fans to arrive to the arena early for the pre-game festivities and to be in their seats early for the pre-game show set at 5 p.m.
Before the game, the Kings will host a Fan Fest outside of STAPLES Center (on Star Plaza and on the street) featuring a hockey rink, interactive games and a DJ. The Fan Fest begins at 2:30 p.m. and many of the Kings partners – including Coke, Lemonheads, LA Times, CA Lottery, FOX Sports West, Welk Resorts, a Beer Garden and Alberta, Canada – will be featured as part of the pre-game enjoyment. Toyota will also be on site and former Kings forward Dustin Penner will be signing autographs at their booth from 3 – 3:30 pm.
VIP Doors in the arena open at 3 p.m. and all doors open at 3:30 p.m. Rally Towels presented by McDonald’s, Toyota, San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino, Mercury Insurance and Travel Alberta will be given to all fans as they enter. The puck is slated to be dropped at 5:20 p.m.
For the fifth straight season, the Kings are participating in the “Beard-A-Thon,” a philanthropic initiative where fans are encouraged to grow a Playoff Beard and help raise money for the Kings Care Foundation. Anyone who raises $50 by 8 p.m. (PT) will automatically be entered to win two tickets to Game 3 (they will be notified by noon on May 24).

Game 3 will be broadcast locally on NBC (Channel 4) and KEIB AM 1150 The Patriot and AM 570 as part of a special radio simulcast.
