NEW YORK (AP) — The mayors of New York City and Los Angeles are ready to raise their voices in support of their hockey teams — in song.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti are wagering on the outcome of the Stanley Cup final between the New York Rangers and the Los Angeles Kings.

If the Rangers win, Garcetti will help sing “New York, New York” on the “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” show. If the Kings win, de Blasio will perform “I Love LA.”

The states’ governors also have a bet. California Gov. Jerry Brown is betting a box of rice cakes and a California history book on the outcome. New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo has put up a basket containing New York foods.

Game one is Wednesday.
