WASHINGTON (AP) — The White House says President Barack Obama will sign a measure approved by Congress today that would end the furloughs of air traffic controllers. But a spokesman says it’s just a “Band-Aid solution” to the problems caused by automatic spending cuts.

Feds delay policy to allow small knives on planes

WASHINGTON (AP) — Airline passengers will have to leave their knives at home after all. And their bats and golf clubs. A policy change scheduled to go into effect this week allowing those items onto airliners will be delayed.
