Ricin suspect released from jail

OXFORD, Miss. (AP) — The Mississippi man charged with sending poisoned letters to President Barack Obama, a U.S. senator and a state judge was released from jail on Tuesday, federal official said, though the reason for the release wasn’t immediately clear.

OXFORD, Miss. (AP) — Investigators haven’t found any ricin in the house of Mississippi man accused of mailing poisoned letters to President Barack Obama, a U.S. senator and a local judge, according to testimony Monday from an FBI agent.

Man charged in letters case described as troubled

OXFORD, Miss. (AP) — A Mississippi man charged with sending ricin-laced letters to the president and other officials was described Thursday as a good father, a quiet neighbor and an entertainer who impersonated Elvis at parties.

Wicker: Possible ricin suspect Elvis impersonator

WASHINGTON (AP) — Sen. Roger Wicker says he once hired the man accused of mailing suspicious letters as an Elvis impersonator. The Mississippi Republican said he hired Paul Kevin Curtis of Corinth, Miss., to entertain at an engagement party.
