WASHINGTON (AP) — Michelle Obama is challenging some of America’s top CEOs to “think outside the box” and hire more veterans, saying that oblessness among veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan is nearly 2 points higher than the national rate.
Many Americans seem to prefer a first lady who can tackle an issue but still be seen as the nation’s wife and mom-in-chief. If she dips into policy, however, her popularity may plummet.
