Unusually high tides caused by cosmic alignment

A cosmic alignment may prove troubling along the coastline with unusually high tides. The water from Long Beach to Huntington Harbor is creeping up though so far no serious damage has been reported. The high tide is expected again tomorrow.

Negotiations resume as port strike enters 6th day

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Contract talks between clerical workers at the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach and shippers have resumed as the strike entered a sixth day on Sunday.

LOS ANGELES (AP) – Labor talks are resuming in an effort to end a strike that shut down most of the terminals at the nation’s busiest port complex, the Los Angeles and Long Beach harbors, officials say.
