MALIBU (CNS) – The rotting carcass of a 41-foot fin whale is floating 20 miles off the Malibu coast, after a businessman and homeowners paid to tow it away. The whale had been killed by a ship. Government agencies disagreed who should handle the cleanup.
MALIBU, Calif. (AP) — With no government agency taking action to remove a rapidly rotting whale carcass from Little Dume beach, it appears that the job will be left to decomposition and nature’s scavengers.
MALIBU (CNS) – Authorities today may try to remove a 20-ton dead whale that washed up on a Malibu beach earlier this week. The 41-foot male fin whale washed up Monday, and a necropsy suggested it had been hit by a ship.
